F.A.Q.

What is a zine?
A zine is a small scale limited run publication created by fans for fans ! Think of it as a fanmade magazine or book full of fanart, fanfiction, and potentially other fan made creations.
What kind of project is this?
This project is for all Hellaverse fans with a focus on fashion! We plan to create a faux fashion magazine for all the demons and sinners in Hell, with the Hellaverse characters as our models. Our goal is to make a physical zine and create additional merch to go alongside it. Additionally, we intend to open the floor to fans across the fandom to apply and participate in the project.
How can I participate in this zine?
If you'd like to participate, you are more than welcome to apply to work on the zine when applications are open! However, please note that we will only be able to accept a limited number of applicants so not everyone who applies will automatically be accepted.
What kind of content are you looking to be featured in this zine?
Illustrations, merch designs, writing, and cosplay. Additionally, we intend to have a “miscellaneous” application available for talented folks in the fandom who create amazing things that may not fit into those first four categories, such as plush makers, crafters, makeup artists, chefs, musicians, voice actors, or anything else you can think of!
How does the application process work?
Applications will be open for one month. During that time, a google form will be open where you are required to submit a portfolio of your work. When applications are closed, the moderators will go through the applications and afterwards, emails will be sent out to everyone who applied to inform them on whether or not they've been accepted. More details on the application process will be available at a later date.
I already made something that would look great for the zine! Can I submit my previous artwork/writing to be in the zine?
No, all work included in the zine has to be original and created specifically for the project.
I don’t live in the US! Can I still participate in the zine?
Absolutely! Anyone can apply to the zine, no matter where you are located.
I don’t know very much about fashion. Can I still participate?
You are more than welcome to apply! You don’t have to be knowledgeable about fashion; just a passion to create a fun piece and a willingness to do a little research on various styles of dress.
Can I apply for more than one position?
Yes, but do be aware that if you apply for more than 1 position, there's a chance you won't be accepted in the one you want.
I’m under 18, can I still participate?
We ask that all contributors be 18 years or older.
Do I need to have a Discord account?
Yes, this is our only way of cumminication.
Are both Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss characters allowed in this zine?
Yes, all characters that are canon to both Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss are allowed.
Are ships allowed in the zine?
Yes! All ships are accepted as long as they aren't incest or MinorXAdult. But please consider that this is not a ship zine and ships will not be the focus. Also note that we aren't giving priority to any given ship. Therefore a ship you wish to see in the zine might not be picked in the pitch process.
If selected, how long will we have to work on the project?
The project is planned to have a 2-3 month work period. A finalized schedule will be made available at a future date.
Will a third-party company be used for the merch, will it be self-made by moderators, or will it be up to the merch artist to have the merch made themselves?
All merch created for the zine will be manufactured by third party companies and merch production will be handled by the merch moderator. Merch artists will NOT be asked to manufacture any of the merch they design for the zine.
Once the zine is complete, will the zine be available for purchase outside of the US?
Yes! As long as shipping to your country is available, we will be happy to ship it anywhere in the world.
Where will the money from this zine go?
Any money from the zine that does not go into production and shipping costs will be donated to charity. At this point in time, we have not determined the charity, but are considering both LGBT+ and clothing donation charities.
Do contributors get any rewards?
YES! The reward for working on this project is a free copy of the zine + whatever merch we sell.
